Rebuild at All Saints’ Clifton nears completion

JW Walker built the organ at All Saints’ Church, Clifton, Bristol, in 1967 as one of their early neo-baroque organs with an experimental mechanical action. Although tonally an exciting organ in a good acoustic, the action has proved to be troublesome over the years. Nicholson is undertaking a thorough rebuild with a completely new mechanical action, lighter touch and a revised wind system. Work is due for completion in April 2015.
