In January 2018, we completed a full restoration of the 1870 John Nicholson organ in St Wulstan’s RC Church in Little Malvern. The two-manual organ has been in our care since the day it was built.
The mechanical action has been completely restored, all leatherwork replaced, the soundboards and chests cleaned and overhauled, pipes cleaned and restored to original speech, and the console and surrounding casework restored.
Sir Edward Elgar is buried in the church cemetery, within earshot of the charming Nicholson organ that he surely played from time to time.
