OPEN DAYS AT NICHOLSON
4th and 5th March 2016
Nicholson Organs is holding an open house event to celebrate 175 years of organ building since the firm was founded by John Nicholson.
Visitors will see the organ for Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland, New Zealand under construction. At 91 speaking stops, it is Nicholson’s largest new organ to date.
Tours will start at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm and last for approximately 11⁄2 hours.
Numbers are limited to 30 at each time so pre-booking is essential and will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
Groups are welcome; please make a single booking on behalf of all members of a party.
All under 16s to be accompanied by an adult please.
Tea and coffee will be available at the start of the tours.
Directions and parking
As parking is limited, please car share if possible and arrive no sooner than 20 minutes before the tour start time and leave promptly afterwards.
We are not able to provide parking for coaches. Drivers will need to drop off passengers and return to collect.
From Great Malvern: Take the B4503 to the village of Leigh Sinton. The factory is behind trees on the left hand side, 400 yards before entering the village. The shared entrance to the premises has a ‘Nicholson’ sign at low level and is also signposted to a fishing lake.
From Worcester: Take the A4103 towards Hereford. At Leigh Sinton, take the B4503 (second turning on the left) towards Malvern. The factory is on the right, 400 yards after leaving the 30 mph speed restriction. The shared entrance to the premises has a ‘Nicholson’ sign at low level and is also signposted to Lakeside fishing lake and café.
