We’re pleased to announce some staffing changes today. After 24 years as managing director, Andrew Moyes has retired and has been succeeded by Andrew Caskie, who has been supporting Andrew Moyes as assistant managing director for the last two years. Also retiring today is Guy Russell, after 20 years as tonal director, and a magnificent 40 years with the firm. Our tonal team will now be led by head voicer James Atherton, who has been working with Guy for the last 15 years, supported by our tuner and voicer Phil Johnson. Both Andrew and Guy will continue to contribute their expertise by supporting the firm part-time as technical and tonal consultant respectively.
Everyone in the company here is immensely grateful for all that Andrew and Guy have achieved over so many years to make Nicholson & Co. the company it is today. Highlights of their work include the new organs for Auckland Cathedral, Llandaff Cathedral, Christchurch Priory, Portsmouth Cathedral, Southwell Minster, Dean Close School in Cheltenham, Uppingham School, and major rebuilds at Great Malvern Priory, Gloucester Cathedral, Bridlington Priory, and St Barnabas’ Church, Ealing. We wish them both a long and well-deserved retirement, and look forward to their continued role in serving our customers and our 177-years-young firm into the future.
