Repairs and tonal adjustments to 2007 IV/62 von Beckerath organ

We are honoured to have been commissioned to undertake a programme of work to the 2007 IV/62 von Beckerath organ in the chapel of Marlborough College.

Some tonal adjustments are to be made:

Great Organ

– revoicing and re-balancing of principal chorus.  This will include revoicing the present Principal Celeste 8′ as a Principal II 8′.

– Bombarde 16′, Trompete 8′ and Clarine 4′ to be revoiced with new shallots and tongues to give them a broader, more blending tone.

Swell Organ

– Trompette Harmonique 8′ and Clairon 4′ repaired and revoiced with new shallots and tongues to give them a broader, more blending tone.

– Basson 16′ and Hautbois 8′ repaired and revoiced.

Solo Organ

– Tuba 8′ replaced with new pipework on higher pressure

– Clarinet 8′ replaced with new pipework

– Trumpet 8′ repaired and revoiced

The perished rubberised cloth on the main reservoir in the organ will also be renewed.
