Woodmansterne, Surrey

Woodmansterne
St Peter’s Church

The old organ was of poor construction and in need of replacement when Nicholson & Co was asked to build a new instrument in 2002.

The new organ is sited in a typical chancel chamber. The Great has been brought forward of the arch and enclosed on three sides by an elegant case, which features embossed front-pipes. The Swell and Pedal speak north through the Great and west through the side case.

Mechanical action was used for the key action while the stop and combination actions are electric. New pipework was used throughout.
